Choppity for Mac, a native screen recorder
Record straight from macOS instead of a browser tab. Choppity for Mac captures your screen at full resolution, starts faster, and has nothing to crash or fall asleep halfway through a take. Recordings land in the same Screen Recorder you already use.
What's new?
- Sharper capture: the screen is recorded at native pixels, at 30 or 60 fps, with your camera (up to 4K) and microphone.
- A cursor you can fix later: the pointer is recorded on its own, so the editor redraws it crisp and can highlight clicks. Grant the optional Accessibility permission and Zoom on clicks can frame the thing you clicked.
- Uploads as you go: footage uploads while you record and waits on disk, not in memory, so a long take doesn't pile up.
- Same place, same editor: when you stop, the app shows Saved to Choppity with an Open in Choppity button that takes you to the recording.
- Needs macOS 14 or later. Runs on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. System audio isn't captured yet.
