Automatic B-rolls from your library

Talking-head clips hold attention better when the picture changes with the point. Auto B-rolls cuts away to videos and photos from your own library at the moments that match what's being said, so you don't have to hunt for footage line by line.

What's new?

  • Matched to your words: uploads are tagged for you, and every cutaway is placed on a sentence that matches it. Each one shows how strong the match is (Strong, Fair or Weak), so you can keep, swap or drop it in a glance. Footage your team swapped in for a similar line before shows as Your team's pick.
  • Choose the source: your whole library, only certain folders (subfolders included), or up to 50 hand-picked items.
  • Set the timing: how often a cutaway appears (2–30 s), how long each one stays (1–10 s), and whether it fills the screen or sits at the top.
  • A home for B-roll: Storage now has a B-roll category, and the editor's Media drawer lists your b-roll under Video.
  • Available on Creator and above. Auto B-rolls works on clips made from video; screen recordings and trailers keep their own pacing.

How to use it

  1. Open a clip in the editor and click Auto B-rolls in the timeline toolbar (next to Split) or at the top of the Media drawer.
  2. Pick where to source from: Whole library, Only these folders or Only these items.
  3. Set how often, how long and the layout, then click Place b-roll.
  4. Review the cutaways on the timeline. Run it again with Replace and place to redo only the automatic ones; anything you placed by hand stays.

Sign in to Choppity from Claude and ChatGPT

Connect Choppity as an app in Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code with a normal sign-in. No API key to paste. Approve once, and your assistant can make clips, check on jobs, render and post on your behalf.

What's new?

  • Sign in, don't paste keys: add Choppity as a connector in Claude or an app in ChatGPT, then approve it on a Choppity consent screen that spells out exactly what it can do.
  • Richer clip jobs: an assistant can now set the clip count (1–30), caption style, template and aspect ratio (9:16, 1:1 or 16:9) when it starts a job.
  • See what's connected: every connected app is listed under Settings → MCP with when it connected and when it was last used, and a Disconnect button that cuts access within a minute.
  • Asks before it posts: publishing to a social account always needs your go-ahead in the chat.

How to use it

  1. Go to Settings → MCP and pick your client: Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code.
  2. Follow the steps shown. The server address is https://api2.choppity.com/mcp.
  3. When your assistant asks to connect, click Approve on the Choppity screen that opens.

Connecting an app needs a paid plan, and only the owner of your main workspace can approve it.

Auto Multicam: cut to whoever is speaking

Recorded your podcast on more than one camera? Upload one file per camera and Choppity lines them up from their sound and cuts to the person talking. You get one full-length episode, ready to open in the editor and clip.

What's new?

  • Two to four cameras: drop in an MP4 or MOV per camera, each up to 3 hours.
  • Synced from the audio: no clapper, no timecode. Choppity aligns the cameras from what they recorded.
  • Bring your own sound: recorded the audio separately on a mic or mixer? Add that MP3 as the Sound track and we use it. If it doesn't line up, the episode falls back to the camera audio and tells you.
  • Creator plan and above. Each camera file uses its own length of analysis time.

How to use it

  1. Open Auto Multicam from the header menu, or go to app.choppity.com/multicam.
  2. Under New episode, add your camera files and, if you have one, the sound file.
  3. Give the episode a name and click Combine.
  4. When the episode is ready, click it to open it in the editor.
