Choppity is your Content OS for turning long videos into clips you can edit, publish, and measure. Uploading from your computer is the fastest way to start when you already have a file ready.
What you can upload
Supported files are MP4, MOV, and MP3 (for audio-only source). Each file can be up to 4 GB and up to 3 hours long. Very high resolution files over one hour have extra limits, so export at 1080p when possible for smoother uploads.
U from your computer
- Open Projects and choose Generate clips, or go to Short clips in the sidebar.
- On the New video tab, click the upload area or drag your file in.
- Wait until the upload reaches 100%. The button unlocks when the file is ready.
- Tap Continue to set clip length, captions, and style.
- Confirm to start analysis. Choppity creates a folder of AI clips you can edit, favorite, and post from one place.
After upload
Processing usually takes a few minutes depending on length. You can leave the tab open or return to Projects to watch progress. When clips appear, open any clip to refine captions, trim, add hooks, then download or schedule (paid plans).
Tips and troubleshooting
- Use a stable Wi-Fi connection. Large files can take several minutes to upload.
- If upload fails, try a smaller export or re-save as MP4.
- Free plan: you can create and edit clips, but downloading finished files and scheduling posts require a paid plan.
- Refresh the page only after upload hits 100%, or you may need to select the file again.
