Browser compatibility and known issues

Browser choice affects preview quality in Choppity's Content OS even when finished exports play fine in native apps on your phone.

Fully supported

Google Chrome is the reference experience for playback, timeline scrubbing, and the screen recorder. Microsoft Edge and Brave (Chromium-based) behave similarly for most editing tasks.

Limited support

Safari and Firefox may show yellow warnings, glitchy preview, or missing WebCodecs features. You can still manage projects, but editing is smoother in Chrome on desktop.

Mobile browsers

Mobile is best for review and approvals, not full timeline editing. Use desktop Chrome for caption timing, B-roll placement, and music mixing sessions.

Fix glitches fast

Update your browser, disable conflicting extensions, and close extra tabs to free RAM. Hard refresh before starting a long edit session after an app update ships.
