Regenerating clips with different settings

Your first batch of clips is a starting point. Regenerating lets you explore different lengths, styles, or instructions without re-uploading the same file.

When to regenerate

  • Clips feel too short or too long

  • You want a different tone (more educational, more provocative)

  • You added custom instructions after seeing the first results

  • You changed caption template or aspect ratio preferences

Regenerate with different settings

  1. Go to Projects and open Generate clips or Short clips.

  2. Switch to the Existing video tab.

  3. Select the same source video from your library (already transcribed).

  4. Click through to customize. Update Clip duration, template, or custom instructions.

  5. Click Generate clips. Choppity runs a new analysis pass.

  6. A new folder appears when processing completes. Older clips stay unless you delete them.

What carries over

Transcription from the first run is reused, so regeneration is faster than a fresh upload. Scores and sorting may change because settings changed.

Tips

  • Rename folders so you can tell batch 1 from batch 2.

  • Favorite winners before regenerating so you do not lose track.

  • Analysis uses credits: check allowance on paid plans before large re-runs.
