Why is my upload stuck, slow or failing?

Uploads can feel slow when files are large or your connection is busy. Choppity shows percent progress on the button so you know things are still moving.

Why uploads take time

  • File size: a 2 GB webinar can take 10-30+ minutes on home Wi-Fi.
  • Length: longer videos also mean longer processing after upload.
  • Browser or VPN: ad blockers, sleep mode, or VPNs can stall transfers.
  • Limits: files over 4 GB or 3 hours are rejected before upload finishes.

Speed up your upload

  1. Use wired Ethernet or sit closer to your router.
  2. Close other tabs and pause cloud backups during upload.
  3. Export at 1080p instead of 4K if quality allows.
  4. Keep the Choppity tab active until you see 100%.

When progress stops moving

If the percentage freezes for more than 10 minutes, refresh once, re-select the file, and upload again. Choppity uses resumable chunks, but a hard browser crash may require a restart.

Tips and troubleshooting

  • Confirm format is MP4, MOV, or MP3.
  • Check you have storage and analysis credits on your plan.
  • Try another browser (Chrome or Edge often work best).
  • Still stuck? Upload a shorter test clip to rule out account issues, then contact support with file size and approximate stuck percent.
