Finding specific moments with keyword search

Already uploaded a long video? Find moment search lets you describe what you are looking for in plain language, then jump straight to matching timestamps.
What search is for
Unlike automatic clip generation, search is interactive. You type what you want (keywords, quotes, or a scene description) and Choppity scans the transcript and video context for matches.
Find a moment step by step
- Upload or import your video through the normal flow first (search needs a processed library asset).
- Open Search from the dashboard menu.
- Pick a video between 3 and 45 minutes long.
- Type a query with at least 10 characters and 2 words (for example: when they talk about pricing).
- Press Enter and wait for results.
- Browse hits, preview each match, and create a clip from the segment you want.
Turn a hit into content
Each result opens in the editor with captions ready. From there, export, post, or add to your content calendar like any other Choppity clip.
Tips and troubleshooting
- Be specific: names, products, and unique phrases work better than single words.
- No results: try alternate wording or check the moment is actually spoken in the video.
- Videos under 3 minutes or over 45 minutes cannot be searched (use clip generation instead).
