Creating your first brand template

Building your first brand template locks in the look of your Content OS output. Set it up once before you generate dozens of clips from the same podcast or show format.
Start from a clip or the generate flow
Open an edited clip that already looks close to your brand, click Create template in the editor header, then configure and save. Alternatively, customize caption style, logo, and layout during Generate clips, then click Save as new template next to the Template dropdown on the Customize step.
Define the essentials
Pick caption font and colors that match your guides. Upload your logo and choose corner placement with enough padding for platform UI overlays. Set default aspect ratio (usually 9:16 for short-form). Preview on a sample clip before saving the template.
Name and save
Give the template a clear name like "Podcast Main" or "Client A Vertical." Saved templates appear the next time you start a new long-to-short video project, so producers pick the right look every time.
Test on real content
Generate a fresh clip folder using the template, export a test on a paid plan, and watch on your phone. Adjust contrast and caption size if text feels small on mobile. Iterate until one template covers eighty percent of your posts.
Update or replace a template later
Need to change an existing template or free up a slot at your plan limit? Open the Template dropdown on the Customize step, use the three dots menu to rename or delete, then save your updated style as a new template. Full walkthrough: Editing or deleting a brand template.
