The Choppity editor is your workspace for turning raw footage into polished clips inside your Content OS. Whether you arrived from Analyze, the Ideas board, or a project folder, the same layout helps you refine video, captions, and audio before you publish, schedule, or measure performance.

Top bar

Use Save to store your work (it shows Saved when everything is up to date). Save and exit returns you to your folder. Undo and redo sit nearby. When you are ready to share, use Download, Post or schedule, or the overflow menu for options like Share project and Export frame.

On desktop, the left sidebar holds Videos, Images, Text, Shapes, Music, Sound FX, and Effects. Select a clip or object on the timeline, and the center panel switches to that item's tools, such as trim, captions, or crop.

Preview player

The player on the right shows a live preview as you edit. Choose preview quality (360p or 1080p) and switch output size (Portrait, Square, or Landscape) without leaving the editor.

Timeline

The timeline at the bottom holds clips, captions, music, and overlays. Click the Add object button (+) to insert new elements. Use the workspace icons above the timeline to focus on primary video, secondary media, captions, or music. Drag clips to reorder, and use playback controls plus the zoom slider to navigate longer edits.

Mobile editing

On mobile, sub-tabs scroll horizontally and the timeline is hidden. Tap Preview video to open a full preview sheet. Core tools stay available through video sub-tabs: Trim, Cut, Crop, and Transcript.
