Background music, SFX and volume mixing

Background music and SFX set energy in short clips. Balance them against voiceover so your Content OS exports sound professional on phone speakers and laptop speakers alike.

Add music

Open the Music workspace, pick a track from the library or upload licensed audio, and place it on the timeline. Trim to clip length and fade in/out to avoid abrupt starts that feel amateur.

Add sound effects

Use the SFX panel for whooshes, pops, or emphasis stings. Align SFX to caption reveals or jump cuts for rhythm that matches fast-paced editing styles.

Volume mixing

Lower music volume under dialogue (often 10 to 20 percent of voice level). Preview with headphones and on a phone before publishing because mix perception changes by device.

Rights

Only use music you have rights to publish. Choppity library tracks are cleared for typical social use; verify license terms for paid ads or broadcast placements separately.
