Adding images and overlays

Images and overlays turn plain clips into branded social posts inside your Content OS without opening Canva for every export variant.
Add an image layer
In the editor, open the Image panel, upload PNG or JPG assets, and place them on the canvas. Use PNG with transparency for stickers, lower-thirds, and corner bugs.
Text overlays
Add Text objects for titles, CTAs, or episode numbers. Match fonts to your saved brand template so a producer and an editor export matching hooks without Slack approvals.
Timing on the timeline
Drag image and text objects along the timeline so they appear only when needed. Shorter overlays feel native to TikTok and Reels where persistent banners look like ads.
Performance
Keep image file sizes reasonable. Huge PNGs slow preview in Chrome. Save reusable overlays in Settings to drag into future clips the same way you reuse logos.
