Speaker tracking for multi-person podcasts and interviews

Podcasts, panels, and interviews often have two or more speakers on screen. Choppity tracks each person with separate crop boxes so everyone stays visible in vertical and square formats.

Add speaker boxes

1. Select your video and open Crop.
2. Under Crop box controls, click Add crop box.
3. Drag each box to cover a speaker. Resize handles to fine-tune.

You can add up to four boxes per scene.

Keyframe across scenes

When speakers move or the conversation shifts, use Split scene at the playhead and reposition boxes for the new moment.

Tips

For single-camera wide shots, start with two boxes and preview often. Tighter boxes read better on mobile than one small wide crop scaled down.
