How auto-framing keeps the speaker centered

Vertical and square clips need smart cropping. Choppity analyzes your footage and auto-frames the main speaker so they stay centered in the output, ready for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts.

How auto-framing works

During analysis, Choppity detects who and what matters in each frame. When you open a clip, the Crop workspace already reflects smart framing for your current aspect ratio.

See it in the editor

  1. Select your main video on the timeline.
  2. Open the Crop sub-tab.
  3. Scrub the timeline and watch the preview: the crop box follows the active speaker as they move.

Manual overrides

Drag or resize the crop box on the preview canvas anytime to override the automatic frame. Use Split scene and Merge scenes when you need different framing at specific moments.
