Searching the transcript and turning matches into clips

Search turns long transcripts into clip ideas without rewatching hours of footage. It connects discovery to editing inside one Content OS instead of a separate spreadsheet of timestamps.

Search the transcript

Open a clip or transcript job and use the search field. Enter keywords, phrases, or guest names. Matches highlight in context so you can skim surrounding sentences before committing to a cut.

Jump to moments

Click a match to seek playback instantly. Review a few seconds before and after to confirm the moment is clip-worthy and does not cut mid-thought.

Create clips from matches

Select a passage and choose the option to create a clip or segment. Choppity marks in and out points from the text selection. Open the new segment in the editor to tighten hooks and add captions.

Power tips

Search for questions, numbers, or emotional words for strong hooks. Combine with Ideas board notes so producers know which keywords to hunt each week for recurring series formats.
